AT&T Metro Plan / Carter & Associates

Branding, wayfinding strategy and signage design

When AT&T, formerly BellSouth, embarked on its AT&T Metro Plan, Jones Worley was part of the team. The $750 million initiative covered the corporation’s 3.1-million-square-foot, multi-building campus, consolidating 13,000 of its 19,000 employees from 23 locations throughout Atlanta into three facilities strategically located near three of MARTA’s busiest transit stations. Jones Worley collaborated with Carter & Associates and five multi-disciplinary design teams to provide wayfinding and signage design services. The goal: Brand each facility as an AT&T corporate campus.

The signage program had to complement the community-like environment and provide easy navigation for employees and visitors to building amenities such as the auditorium and conference suites, cafeterias, company stores, credit-union offices and multiple remote parking decks located at MARTA transit stations.
