St. Paul's/Tidewater Gardens

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The 618-unit Tidewater Gardens public housing complex was the subject of a federal choice-housing grant that the city secured to redevelop the 68-year-old. The city was charged with communicating with the relocated residents so that they remain informed of their housing choices. In addition, the central provision of the effort was extensive, customized supportive services in the areas of economic mobility, health and wellness, education, and housing. Jones Worley was hired as the public relations agency of record to help the city and its outreach organization, Urban Strategies, Inc., communicate to residents before, during and after their relocation to make the transitions as smooth as possible and to let them know how to take advantage of the many support programs available to them.
