JTA Myrtle Avenue Operations Campus Refresh
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
As the center of operations and maintenance and the former home of administration for the Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA), the Myrtle Avenue Operations Campus (MAOC) is the heartbeat of the Authority. Built and occupied in the late 1970s, MAOC stood as the JTA’s flagship facility until the Jacksonville Regional Transportation Center (JRTC) at LaVilla opened in 2020. In 2023, as part of its MOVE2027 Strategic Plan, the JTA tasked Jones Worley to use super graphics and storytelling to refresh and create inspirational experiences on the Myrtle Avenue campus to engage and educate its employees.

ASSIGNMENT
Strategic branding, employee communication, and experiential graphic design
Jones Worley directly engaged with more than 60 employees and managers to participate in one-on-one interviews, surveys, focus groups, workshops, and an onsite collaborative design vision session to provide early feedback and direction. From these sessions, Jones Worley designed an extensive array of custom experiential graphic designs that are welcoming, educational, and inspirational. Using their input, Jones Worley planned, designed, produced, and managed the fabrication and installation of more than 100 murals/displays to empower a diverse workforce in a welcoming and aesthetically pleasing way that refreshes and creates inspirational experiences for the JTA staff.
